A new adventure for me! I'm a DT member!!!!!

I have been busy these last few months.  First finally taking the plunge and have been taking the Creative Classes 101 ans 102 from Tim Holtz, gearing up to 103 coming out in August.  Which if you are following my blog you have seen what I have learnt so far from this amazing class.

I also have the privilege of becoming a design team member for the very first time.  I'm a DT for Scrapbook Quebec for the monthly card kit that they offer.   You have enough to create at least 8 cards.  

For this months kit I was able to make a total of 12 cards.  4 of them I had to add some card bases from my own stash with a few scraps of solid colors cardstock. I used some thinlits dies to create some of the embellishments and also I used some NUVO crystal drops to create the pearls accents. Here are all the creations I make:

Stencils, distress inks and paints!

This week in Creative Chemistry 102 was all kinds of different techniques using stencils. I got really inky and full of paint while creating the tag.  It was so much fun.  I used my distress inks over the stencils and then I used the distress paints on the stencils to transfer the paints onto the tag and here is the result.

I wanted to add a little more, so I had a mask of a silhouette and just blended distress ink around it to make it stand out I used the fudeball black pen to contour.

Onto the second class

Well I finished CC101 and have now started Creative Chemistry 102.  This class is just as fun as the first one.
Here is the first tag I made is with the distress paint technique of marbling and colored crackled.

Archival Inks - Creative Chemistry 101

Here is another technique, Archival Resist.  I only had glossy photo paper and this is the result I got.  I will have to get a better glossy paper and have more fun with this technique.  I love how we can mix the different inks together.

Perfect Distress Technique

I've said it already.  The creative Chemistry class is amazing.  I am learning so much.  I haven't played with my inks, paints, and sprays this much in a very long time.

Here is my latest tag with the Perfect distress technique.  This is one that I will be using alot.

I tried taking a picture showing the shimmer of the perfect pearls.  You don't really see it, but trust me it's there.
Now to get back to class and play more.... I mean learn more...  :)

I create for me!

Oh my.... I am having sooooo much fun playing with all my inks, sprays and paints.  The creative chemistry class is amazing.  I thought I already knew alot about distress, but I am learning so many new techniques.
