Christmas cards

I just wanted to show a few cards that I have made in the last few months. I started early this year making Christmas cards, but then I blinked and now I am running out of time with all the projects that I wanted to do for the holidays.  I guess I will be starting much earlier next year to make sure that I get everything done in time. Maybe I'll start right after New Years! That should give m lots of time. What do you think?

So here are a few of the cards that I have been working on for this Christmas

Thanks for the look !
Until next time !

A Mini Album

I've comme to  learn that I love making mini albums.  Here is a look at my first one made from scratch for a friend that was moving back home.

I had fun making all the tags for this album.  Every page has 3 pockets, so lots of space for journaling.  I was inspired to make this album by a tutorial that I saw on youtube. ( I forget who the video was from)  But the pictures in the mini are from my friend that was moving back home.  I figured that he would like a nice souvenir from his time that he lived here in our beautiful city of Montreal!

Thanks for passing by and having a peek !

Mixed Media "a la" Finnabair

I had the opportunity of taking a class with Anna Dabrowska (Finnabair). She is such a delight to watch and learn from. I learned so many new technics especially the actual tea dye technic.  I really llike this mixed media stuff.  The gels and molding pastes, inks and paints and sprays oh my !!!  I had such a blast.  And here is what we made

Album front and back covers

This is just the beginning for me in mixed media.  I am sure that I will getting my hands all inky again very soon to get the inside pages done.

February alerady

I can't believe that we are already in the month of February. Oh wait... that would mean that we are getting closer to warmer weather. I can't wait for spring. But until then we will have to do with heavy jackets , scarves, hats and mitts to try and keep warm. !  On that note :

Here is a page that I made during a crop I went to a few week ago.

And here is Valentine card that I have made this week.

Until next time !

My very first canvas

What a way to start off the New year with some creativity.  I was sitting down at my table and had an urge to play with my inks and paints.  In going through my stash I found a canvas and starting painting it. Then I added some distress stain (picket fence).  I also had fun with the rock candy crackle paint.  I also used a new die that I bought with some christmas money that I got.  ( I kind of spoiled myself with scrapbook supplies with all the christmas money that I received ).

I am hoping to have the time this year to make projects like this on a regular basis.  Take a look for yourself ! let me know what you think :)

Until next time !
